The bank union has termed the video advertisement “disgusting” and said that it was aimed at creating distrust in the banking system.
All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC), an organisation of more than 3,20,000 officers, threatened to sue Kalyan Jewellers accusing it of “casting aspersion and hurting the sentiments of millions of banking personnel” through the video advertisement.
Amitabh Bachchan has acted as a pensioner who has visited the bank branch along with his daughter Shweta Nanda to return the extra money credited in his pension account and his bitter encounter with bank employees in the process.
