EPF Rate Hiked by 0.05% For Year 2015-16 to 8.80% as compared to 8.75% in 2014-15, Government announced the hike in rate on various deposits.

Government has reduced the Interest Rate on various other deposits like Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) by 25 basis points. They have left the interest rate unchanged on other deposits like public provident fund, National Savings Certificate, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Senior Citizen Savings Scheme and the Monthly Income Scheme unchanged for the time being, while promising quarterly reset in rates from next year.
