Public Sector Bank Unions are on strike from 3oth May – United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has announced two-day bank strike on May 30 and 31 to protest against Indian Banks’ Association’s (IBA) humilating offers on wage hike under 11th Bipartite Settlement

The IBA has offered an average pay increase of 2% to employees amid mounting non-performing loans and financials losses. The wage revision is due since 1st November 2017.

UFBU demanded adequate rise in salary and improvement in other service conditions as well as expeditious and early wage revision settlement, 

Unions demanded wage revision settlement to include all officers upto scale VII. Where as some banks are said to have given mandates to IBA to hold wage negotiations for only upto Scale III officers.
