Do ATM Debit Card Holders Need to Pay the Charges for using ATM at ATM Center- Yes. Banks can charge for transactions undertaken at ATMs. However, banks normally do not levy charges for transactions undertaken by their account-holders at their bank’s ATMs.

Card holders can undertake a maximum of 5 transactions, in a month, free of cost, at ATMs of banks where he / she does not have an account.

Beyond this the ATM owning bank may levy a charge. These 5 transactions include both financial and non-financial transactions.

Non-financial transactions are services like account information and any other such service which does not involve the payment / receipt / transfer of cash.
