Get Free ePAN Card Online – Eligibility & Application Procedure

Apply and get free ePAN card online – Income Tax department has introduced the facility of providing instant PAN card online. All the valid Aadhaar card holders may apply online and get the ePAN online. The allotment process is paperless, and an electronic PAN (e-PAN) is issued to the applicants free of cost. The only requirement of getting the ePAN card is Aadhaar number. The eligibility and application process to follow here below.

Procedure to Apply for ePAN

Follow step by step process to apply and instant download the ePAN Card:

Step 1:Login to IncomeTax efilling website or Click here

Step 2:Click on the 2nd option in the left menu “Instant PAN through Aadhaar”

Step 3: Click on the option “Get New PAN”, You may download or check the status of already applied ePAN

Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar Card Number, put captcha and submit

Step 4: The Aadhaar will be validated with One Time Password or OTP, which will be send on the registered mobile number

Step 5: Upload the signature

You need to upload the scanned copy of the signature on a white paper with a resolution of 200 DPI, with a file type of JPEG of 10 KB with a dimension of 2×4.5 cm.

Step 7: Generation of Acknowledgement Number for ePAN

Post validation of all the details entered by the applicant, a 15 digits acknowledgement number will be generated and send on the registered mobile number.

How to download & check the status of ePAN ?

Applicant may check the status of already applied ePAN application or download the ePAN, follow the step by step process :

Step 2: Click on the 2nd option in the left menu “Instant PAN through Aadhaar”

Step 3: Click on Check Instant e-Pan Statuts and provide 15 digit acknowledgement number
