If believe on the recent development for settlement of 11th Bipartite Wage Revision for Public Sector bank employees, 5 Days banking is on card for them post settlement.

It is hinted that Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) is agreed on the demand of Bankers’ for 5 Days a week banking. The authenticity of news is not yet confirm and it is also not yet officially announced by neither IBA nor UFBU.

This is also partially confirmed that this may be implemented by Dec.1, 2018.

It is also informed that business hours for banks will be extended till 6 PM. Banker’s Union are opposing the extension of working hours till 6 PM.

This is further to inform that the scheduled meeting of 28th/29th August, it will be confirmed. 
Further, it is also rumored that IBA is agreed on hiking the salary for bankers from existing 6% to 12% where as UFBU is demanding not less than 22%. IBA is agreed on 22% with performance based salary hike.
IBA may agree on 15% salary hike with 5 days banking for Bankers.
